My Dearest Darling:

Haven’t had any letter for
quite some time – but have received
a few packages – a couple from
Uncle Bill & one from Krafts – Uncle
Bill sent a big old fruit-cake &
a little bottle of Xmas cheer and
there was a lot of candy, cigaretttes
& believe it or not a box of
Vitamin Pill!  Get quite a kick
out of that! I Love You My
Darling!

There still isn’t any definite
news on getting out of here – but
my hopes are higher than ever -
could be pretty quick – I hope & Pray!
I Love You Darling!
1945-02-06_Page_2 Hope you’re feeling well Darling -
would certainly like to be with you
to help share the trials that are connected
with having a baby – Honey I Love
You Loads and Pray that all will
be O.K. – during some of my serious
moments I’ve been just trying to think
of the Job you and I have now that our
family is started – there’s certainly a lot-
I know the baby will have the swellest
Mother in the world & I’ll do my best
to make the best Pappy (Daddy) – wish
this war would end so we can get
started housekeeping—we have a lot
to get – Just how we’re going to go
about it stumps me – I do know
we’re going to own our own house -
1945-02-06_Page_3 It’s going to mean a lot of hard work -
but I know with you and I together it
will be a song – I Love You so
darn much Honey! We’ll certainly
have a log of planning to do when
we get together!

Well Darling so much for
tonight – I’m feeling well – have a
little cold – but bad – God
Bless You & Protect You!

I Love You Darling!
Love & Kisses
Johnnie
