My Dearest:

Haven’t received any mail the
last few days – the service isn’t
as good back here compared to the front-
they really give those guys up front
first’s on everything – and rightly
so- they don’t get enough for the
bell they go thru – I Love You Honey!

The German propaganda has
really changed lately – they’re
crying now about how the Russians
are blasting their way thru – but
I don’t believe they’ll get any. There’s
only 40 miles to Berlin and I
doubt if they’ll stop – things sure
look bright – I Love You Darling!!

1945-02-01_Page_2 Should see the Pajamas I have
on – they look like a maternity
suit – don’t know whether it’s right
for the to-be dad to share the same
type clothes or not – I Love You
My Darling!

The other day we had about
a foot of snow – tonight the
ground is bare & it’s raining
out – what a Country!!

Have your picture sitting
in front of me and I find myself
looking at that more than I
write!  I Love You Darling!  And
O’ Boy that picture!

Hope you’re feeling well Honey -
Just another month to go – I hope

I can be home with you by then -
Each night I Pray that all will be well -
Just writing seems like so little
to me – but it’s all I can do!  I Love
You My Darling!

Goodnight Honey & do take
care of yourself – God Bless You!

I Love You!
Love & Kisses
Johnnie
