My Darling Wife:
Sorry for not writing yesterday, but at the time I should have been concentrating on a letter to you I was foolishly wasting my few shillings in a friendly poker game, and before I knew it the time had slipped by to lights out -- forgive me Hon? I Love You!
Don’t know whether all the planes are off their course or if the ships are being sunk but darn Honey I haven’t had a letter for four long days, and do I ever miss them Honey! I Love You more than ever, and miss you [woefully?]!
