My Darling Wife:

Am Quite worried about you-
guess I’m getting scared or something – but
gee I wish I knew just how you are -
and if everything is O.K. – I Love you
so Darn Much Honey that all would be
lost if something happened to you. More
than likely by the time this letter
reaches you the Baby will no longer
be an “it”- but rather another Brey-
Wrote home & told Ma to tell me
whether it looked like a Polack or an
Irishman! Am really excited over
it – am just hoping & Praying that
all goes well and that we’re all
together shortly—It’ll be a gaff if
I don’t get to change it’s pants a couple
of times anyhow – or do you think I’ll
Change My Mind?  I Love You Honey!

1945-03-16_Page_2 The war news is certainly encouraging.
everything seems to be going pretty
well according to plan – I especially
like these Peace Rumors – one of these
days it’ll be the real McCoy – what
a wonderful day that’ll be! I Love
You Peg Darling!

When you write to Lloyd tell
him I have a personal grudge against
the Air Corp – I’d be on my way home
now if it wasn’t for them! Always
like the ground better anyhow!
Will really enjoy that trip homeward
when & if it comes – shouldn’t
say if cause someday it will come
true – what I mean is in the near
future! I Love You!

Was sorry to hear that Alex’s
Cousin lost a leg – I saw him
when he was hit – but didn’t

think it was that bad!  Guess old
Chess is still going – I should write
him a letter – but don’t know whether
he’s still with the outfit or not – they’ve
really gone thru hell and there’s very
few original ones left – by the way
I was the first of the original company
to get it – couse there wasn’t to
many left the the time we came over!

Well my Darling I’ll sign
off for tonight – God Belss You!

I Love You Honey
Love & Kisses
Johnnie
More Than Likely “Daddy”

Hope the baby’s
well – has it
curly hair? (What a question!)
